TechStartHub Mentoring Program

Hundreds of early stage startups approach us seeking various type of support from Funding to Mentorship and from Product Development to Marketing.  Based on this need we decided to launch the TechStartHub Mentoring Program to help startups with all their business needs.

The Program provides a platform for startups to present to our group of Mentors on a monthly basis.

Collectively our Mentors bring a wealth of experience from their backgrounds as serial entrepreneurs, in consulting, venture capital and a number of industry verticals.  They can help you with your needs in the areas of strategy, marketing, sales, technical development, investment, recruitment and more.

Our mission is to help startups grow successfully and, where appropriate, work towards the stage where they’re ready for their first or next round of funding.  Once a Startup is ‘Investment Ready’ they will be given the opportunity to pitch at our Techmeetups Investor Day.

I’m a Startup what do I get?

  • The opportunity to meet our group of Mentors and receive feedback on your pitch, business model and development plan
  • Weekly coaching, advice & mentoring
  • If required, intensive hands on mentoring with one of our mentors or Accelerator Partners
  • Connecting with a focused group of tech companies for advice, partnership & collaboration
  • Support to pitch at our Investor day

Do I need to be based in London?

No, you can be based anywhere.  We will have similar programs running in other cities.  A lot of our mentoring is done remotely although occasional face to face meetings always help.

What type of companies do you mentor?

We mentor early stage Software based Tech startups in the areas of Mobile Apps, Gaming, Crowdsourcing, Social Media, Cloud and E-commerce. We like Startups that are ambitious, going after a big market… hopefully taking on the world.

I’m a Startup & interested … what do I do next ?

Our next Workshops will take place in central London on the following dates:
Monday 7th November (Workshop full)
Monday 5th December (presentation slots available)

To participate in one of our Workshops Email us / Contact us or click below to download the Startup Info. template which you’ll need to fill and and email to us.

What do I need to prepare?

For everything to know about preparing for the Workshop, what to expect and how to get the most out of your time, see the Mentoring Workshop Guideline below:

What are VCs typically looking for in a Startup?

Many things but most importantly: how unique is your offering, does it have a clear revenue generating business model, what is your marketing strategy, etc.  Here is a checklist of what one of our VC partners look for  …

What startup Founders that have participated in our Program say

“Thank you for the workshop last night.  It is great that events like this exist.  Being able to get an experienced group of mentors to focus on your business idea for 30 minutes is invaluable.”
Pete Ryder, Cardcub

“Pitching my idea to the scheme’s real-world VCs and entrepreneurs really set me in motion.  Their positive response and ongoing mentoring got me from one person with an idea, to a real tech startup with technical co-founder, newsletter editor and designer, and a few weeks later we’re ready to get building and fundraising and our first newsletter is going out.”
Sunshine Jackson Underhill, Hopscotch Online

“I came to TechMeetups not knowing what to expect. I initially did a Dragon’s Den style meeting – but it was a lot nicer. The really brilliant thing was off the back of the meeting, I got a mentor who believed in the idea and really was very knowledgeable about the category. This mentorship has really focused the business proposition and led to us winning 1st prize in the Startup Weekend London competition beating 30 other teams – we are all on a journey when we are a start-up – TechMeetups helped greatly at the start of what will be a long and successful journey for Portal Entertainment.”
Julian McCrea, Portal Entertainment
